Dr. Eva Wong
Dr. Eva Wong was born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia, she completed her Master of Education in Visual Function and Learning, and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pacific University in Oregon, where she graduated with honours.
Dr. Alison She
Dr. Alison She was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley. During her training, Dr. She completed rotations in binocular vision, primary care, and low vision.
Dr. Elisa Xiao
Born in Beijing and grew up in Vancouver, Dr. Elisa Xiao completed her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. She went on to pursue a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honours.
Dr. Charlene cHU
Dr. Charlene Chu was born in Taiwan, grew up in Vancouver and is bilingual in English and Mandarin. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Microbiology and Immunology, at the University of British Columbia in 2002. In 2006, Dr. Chu obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from State University of New York, College of Optometry in United States.
Dr. lUCIA lI
Dr. Li grew up in Richmond, BC. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from UBC and BCIT, she worked in an ophthalmologist's office where her interests in Optometry began. She also traveled to the Philippines with the Third World Eye Care Society to distribute donated eye glasses, and she wishes to be on board for more eye care projects in the future.
Dr. Uyen Nguyen
Dr. Uyen Nguyen was born in Vietnam and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Ottawa and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. Dr. Nguyen did her ocular disease rotation in Texas at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, which allowed her to work alongside ophthalmologists and care for patients with severe ocular diseases and observe surgical procedures first-hand.
In 2010, Dr. Nguyen joined VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) in Romania, where they provided thousands of free eye exams and dispensed donated glasses to people with little to no eye care previously. Dr. Nguyen always strives to provide excellent patient-centered care by taking the time to educate her patients and actively listen to their needs and concerns. She is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. She is a member of the BC Doctors of Optometry and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
On her spare time, Dr. Nguyen loves to go hiking and backcountry camping in the mountains, part of the reason why she and her husband decided to move to Vancouver in 2013. She also enjoys reading, practicing yoga, photography and traveling.
Dr. Vivian Yeung
Dr. Yeung grew up in Vancouver, beautiful British Columbia. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of
British Columbia, and immediately after, she moved to Forest Grove, Oregon; where she pursued her Doctorate degree at Pacific University, College of Optometry, and graduated with honours (a member of Beta Sigma Kappa).
Dr. Julie Bae
Dr. Julie Bae received her Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. Through her studies, Dr. Bae developed an appreciation for the sciences and a respect for its role in health care. She then went on and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo with Dean’s Honours and was a recipient of the Alcon professional continuing education award.
Dr. jason Hundle
Dr. Hundle grew up in the small town of Prince George, BC before relocating to the Lower Mainland. He attended Simon Fraser University obtaining his B.Sc. in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology, and then went on to complete the Doctor of Optometry program at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He looks forward to helping his patients to the best of his ability.
Dr. Maria Wang was born in Taiwan and moved to Costa Rica at a very young age. She spent 10 years in Costa Rica before moving to Vancouver, Canada, which is her permanent home now. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2003 with a degree in Microbiology and Immunology, and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2007.
Dr. Natalie Wu
Dr. Natalie Wu was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She completed her B.Sc. at Western University and her Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston.At NECO, Dr. Wu served as the President of Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) and helped organize a volunteer optometric trip to the Dominican Republic where the team provided eye exams to thousands of local residents.
Dr. GLORIA Lee
Dr. Gloria Lee graduated with honours from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2009. During her training, she took special interest in fitting contact lenses and co-managing Lasik/PRK and cataract surgeries. Dr. Lee focuses on nutrition and lifestyle to improve eye health and vision. She is passionate about educating her patients on their eye health and how it is linked to chronic disease.
Dr. Indy gill
Dr. Indy Gill was born and raised in Surrey, BC. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology at the University of British Columbia. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. She gained invaluable experience during her clinical rotations where she worked in various settings throughout Washington and Oregon.
